Dr. Ann Olivarius '86
Founder & Chair
McAllister Olivarius

Back

"I feel like I have taken Yale SOM with me through my career. The emphasis it placed on working in groups remains valuable every day. We have hired SOM alumni, and had many others as clients. It remains a living resource, as well as a source of important and fond memories."

Founder and chair of the international law firm McAllister Olivarius, headquartered in London, Ann was the first person to complete degrees from both Yale SOM and Yale Law School in three years. She also earned a PhD in Economics from Oxford as a rhodes scholar. Ann is a solicitor of England and Wales, and a member of the bars of New York, Virginia, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and the District of Columbia.

McAllister Olivarius has a network of attorneys, financial experts, and government contacts across the United States and the globe. The firm has had groundbreaking successes in several areas, including complex commercial transactions and employment discrimination. Ann created McAllister Olivarius to offer clients the kind of close personal attention and creative thinking that are often difficult to find in behemoth firms, providing advice on a full range of business and private matters.

Ann serves on the board of Autistica, the leading UK charity funding research into the causes of autism, and is chair of the Rhodes Project, an ongoing study of how high-achieving women understand and experience success.
