Ms. Nagaswami is senior managing director and chief investment officer of AllianceBernstein Investments, the retail division of AllianceBernstein L.P. As CIO, Ms. Nagaswami is responsible for integrating AllianceBernstein’s investing disciplines for growth, value, and blend equities and for fixed income with the clearest positioning and communications to shareholders and their financial advisors. She chairs the Retail Investors Investment Policy Group. Until 2005, Ms. Nagaswami was a senior portfolio manager of the Bernstein U.S. Value Equities team. Ms. Nagaswami joined Bernstein in 1999 as a fixed income senior portfolio manager with responsibility for credit research and risk management. From 1986 to 1999, she was at UBS Asset Management and its predecessor organizations, where she progressed from quantitative analyst to managing director and co-head of U.S. Fixed Income. During her twenty-plus-year career in the investment management business Ms. Nagaswami has worked as an analyst, portfolio manager, and investment strategist with responsibility for setting investment strategies and managing client assets in fixed income, equity, and multi-asset mandates. A passionate advocate for improving investor outcomes, Ms. Nagaswami is a frequent speaker at industry, advisor, and investor forums.
