John D. Howard is chief executive officer of BSMB, a private equity firm he founded in 1997 initially as part of Bear, Stearns & Co. From 1990 to 1996, Mr. Howard was co-CEO of Vestar Capital Partners, Inc., a private investment firm specializing
in management buyouts. Previously, Mr. Howard was a senior vice president and partner of Wesray Capital Corporation. Mr. Howard currently serves as a director for Aeropostale, Inc.; Balducci’s; Multi Packaging Solutions; New York & Company, Inc.; Stuart Weitzman; Universal Hospital Services, Inc.; and Vitamin Shoppe Industries.

Mr. Howard holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA from Trinity College.
