Since many candidates have recently submitted applications for Round 2, we thought it would be the ideal time to address the topic of the admissions interview. We’ll give you a glimpse into our invitation process, as well as what to expect during and after the interview itself.

 Yale Curriculum: International Experience
First-year SOM students spent two weeks in January immersing themselves in new and evolving business environments as part of the International Experience. Eight groups of students traveled to eleven countries and met with leaders of banks, oil companies, stock exchanges, multinationals, nonprofits, and governments.

 Student Profile: Case Study
A former journalist, Sumana Chatterjee '08 authored a case study about slavery in the cocoa industry that will be used in SOM classes starting next fall. Chatterjee said her work on the case was facilitated by the entrepreneurial spirit of SOM. "The school is such a small community that if you want to do something out of the ordinary, it’s not difficult to do so."

Yale SOM Announces International Exchange Program
Starting in the fall of 2008, Yale SOM will enhance its international offerings with a new exchange program. Second-year SOM students will have the opportunity to spend their fall semester studying abroad at one of four exchange partner schools:
the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK; IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain; the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, India; and Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, Beijing, China.
