Coleen Singer Appointed New Director of Career Development

On August 22, 2002, Dean Garten announced that Coleen Singer has been selected as SOM's new Director of Career Development after an extensive national search. The dean noted: "Coleen's long and successful association with SOM through her consulting firm specializing in career development, as well as her business development, sales and marketing experience at Netkey, Inc., her investment banking and recruiting experience at Lehman Brothers Inc. and her systems analyst experience at Exxon Company, USA, make her especially qualified to lead the considerable efforts of the Career Development Office during this challenging time."

Coleen also devotes time to the direction of several nonprofit organizations in Connecticut and is an active member of a number of professional associations. She also finds time to pursue other outside interests such as kick boxing and bird watching. Ms. Singer received her MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
