Yale SOM Students Develop New Businesses with the Help of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute

Posted on: September 2, 2011

If it becomes easier to share photos on Facebook, diagnose infectious diseases, sing your heart out, and find golf balls in the years to come, it may be because of a company founded by a current Yale SOM student and incubated last summer at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute.

The Yale Daily Bulletin recently spotlighted four enterprises founded by Yale SOM students who completed the YEI Summer Fellowship, a 10-week startup boot camp for student entrepreneurs. The Yale Entrepreneurial Institute provides resources and support for Yale students interested in starting new businesses. To date, the YEI has helped launch 47 ventures that have raised more than $37 million in investment.
