UPDATE: Yale SOM Students Returning from Japan International Experience Trip
The Yale SOM administration, in consultation with students and faculty, has decided to cut short the International Experience trip to Japan. The Yale SOM students and faculty who were in Japan at the time of Friday’s earthquake have left the country, and are now en route back to the United States.
While we are glad that these members of the Yale SOM community are safe, we all feel the deepest sympathy for those suffering in the ongoing crisis in Japan and wish to provide support in whatever ways we can.
Many organizations are currently working to provide relief and assistance to people in Japan, but one has a particular SOM connection. Mercy Corps is led by CEO Neal Keny-Guyer, a 1982 graduate of the school and a member of the Yale SOM Board of Advisors and the Yale Corporation. Mercy Corps has substantial experience responding to humanitarian crises around the globe. Please visit the Mercy Corps website to learn more.
