Yale Chief Executive Leadership Institute Kicks Off Earth Day Green Summit with NYSE Bell Ringing

Yale SOM Senior Associate Dean Jeffrey Sonnenfeld was on hand to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange this morning. The bell ringing was in honor of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day and the inaugural Green Summit co-sponsored by the Yale Chief Executive Leadership Institute and NYSE Euronext. Sonnenfeld was joined by Green Summit participants including Duncan Niederauer, CEO, NYSE Euronext; Professor Dan Esty, co-director of the Center for Business and Environment at Yale; Matt Rogers SOM ’89, senior advisor to the secretary of energy for the Recovery Act, U.S. Department of Energy; Rajendra Pachauri, Chairman, United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; and Elmo from Sesame Street.
