From the SOMAA President

It has been an exciting time as president of the SOM Alumni Association to see SOM alumni, staff, and administration stand together to reach out to help those among our community who are either launching new careers or needing a boost in their existing field of endeavor.

We have had an excellent response from our alumni as Dean Oster has asked for us to find additional job opportunities within our business networks. Ivan Kerbel, director of the Career Development Office, has worked hard to staff up with new relationship managers and to create a welcoming and personalized resource for our alumni who are looking for assistance.

Additionally, the career page on the new SOM Alumni Portal is growing to be one of the site's most popular destinations. I thank you all for your efforts to help make this happen. I also welcome anyone who would like to volunteer to do more by joining the SOMAA Career Management Committee, which is co-chaired by Dave Bledin '09 and Ingrid Stabb '99 and includes alumni committee members Dawn Alexander '87, Craig Paullin '85, June Liang '06, Sarah Smith '10, Nancy Halpern '87, Rob Greenly '83, Jennifer Sinek '89, Gregg Vanourek '00, Lamont Lee '85, Chris Granger '99, Farrukh Zafar '98, and Kelly Smith '09.
