Posted on: September 16, 2009

Fortune magazine has named Indra Nooyi '80, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, the Most Powerful Woman in Business for the fourth year in a row.

Fortune has published its annual ranking of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business since 1998. The magazine compiles the list by ranking the women based on four criteria: the size and importance of her business in the global marketplace; her clout inside her company; her career trajectory; and in certain cases her cultural and social impact.

Nooyi was named president and CEO of PepsiCo on October 1, 2006 and assumed the role of chairman on May 2, 2007.
