Fall Reunion Weekends

Posted on: July 29, 2008

Yale SOM will be hosting two Reunion Weekends this fall. On September 26-28, 2008, SOM will be celebrating two very special milestones — the 25th Anniversary Reunion of the Class of 1983 — and for the first time in the school’s history — a 30th Reunion — the 30th Anniversary Reunion of the Charter Class of 1978. On October 17-19, 2008, the Classes of 1988, 1993, 1998, and 2003 will celebrate their 20th, 15th, 10th, and 5th Anniversary Reunions respectively. The momentum and excitement are growing as classmates from around the U.S. and the world — from Accra to Tokyo and all cities in between — look forward to seeing one another again, some after many years, and to finding out about all the things that have changed (or not) about themselves and SOM, and to generally just enjoy each other’s company.

The Reunion Weekends promise to be fun celebrations and will include many opportunities for socializing — starting on Friday evening with cocktails and an informal pizza party, a grand New England picnic lunch on Saturday, individual class receptions and gala class dinners on Saturday evening, “after hours” informal socializing with classmates on Friday and Saturday evenings, and ending with a farewell brunch on Sunday.

The events and discussions during both Reunion Weekends will take place in an informal and comfortable setting — with interactive discussions led by classmates and faculty on topics of interest selected by the class reunion planning committees. There will also be opportunities to meet with your favorite, as well as new, SOM faculty members, and to hear firsthand from Dean Joel Podolny about the many truly exciting and transformative initiatives underway at SOM.
