Healthcare expert Ted Marmor argues that the United States needs to consider the examples of Canada and Europe for answers to the current debate over health coverage. Marmor, professor emeritus of public policy and management, and professor emeritus of political science, is an expert on welfare state politics and policy in North America and Western Europe. He has been involved in healthcare policy for more than thirty years and has written extensively on Medicare, healthcare reform, and Social Security. His latest book is Fads, Fallacies and Foolishness in Medical Care Management and Policy (World Scientific Publishing Company, 2007).
