Arturo Bris Receives First Jaime Fernández de Araoz Award in Corporate Finance

Arturo Bris and former ICF fellow Christos Cabolis (Athens Laboratory of Business Administration) have been awarded the first Jaime Fernández de Araoz Award in Corporate Finance for their paper “The Value of Investor Protection: Firm Evidence from Cross-Border Mergers.”

The award recognizes the best research article in Corporate Finance produced by a Spanish scholar and is sponsored by the IEAF (Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts) and Citigroup. The award was presented by Crown Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain in a ceremony that took place in Madrid on June 13, 2005.
