Executive Programs Launches New Program with Zayed University, United Arab Emirates; Senior Managers of AVEBE, a Dutch Multinational, Visit SOM to Participate in a Customized Executive Program in Leadership Development
A team from the United Arab Emirates visited Yale SOM on February 15, 2005, to sign a three-year Memorandum of Understanding with Executive Programs. Vice President of Zayed University, Dr. Hanif Al Qassimi and two of his colleagues, Dr. Hassan Y. Aly, Director of Graduate Studies, and Kent Swift, College of Business, signed the memorandum along with Dr. Andrew D. Hamilton, Provost of Yale University. The first program will include three modules: Government, Business & Globalization, Marketing Management, and Human Resources Management & Leadership. It will be offered from May 31 – June 11, 2005, in New Haven, CT.
On February 8, 2005, thirteen senior managers of AVEBE, a Dutch multinational that has operations in 18 countries, attended a four-day customized executive program in Leadership Development at SOM. The participants included the CEO, two other members of the executive board, the general directors of each of the operating companies, the chief operating officer, the CFO, and other senior members of the team. Before coming to Yale SOM to attend this final module, these executives attended similar modules of three days each at the University of Groningen in Holland, another at Templeton College at Oxford, and another at HEC, in Paris, on the subject of Discipline, Focus, and Leadership.
