25th Anniversary Class of '79 Reunion
On October 1st and 2nd, 2004 we will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary Class of '79 Reunion in New Haven. Classmates from around the world will gather together to reconnect with one another and with many original and current faculty and staff, and to relive some of the experiences of those two very special years spent at Yale SOM. Distinguished guests will include the founding Dean of Yale SOM, Bill Donaldson (now head of the SEC), Yale University's President, Richard C. Levin, and Provost, Susan Hockfield.
As part of the Reunion program, Bill Donaldson and Dean Jeffrey E. Garten will be heading up a panel entitled, "Then, Now, and the Future" - a discussion of the Yale SOM mission and the global context over the past twenty-five years, as well as thoughts about what lies ahead in the 21st century. Another Reunion highlight will feature a Faculty Panel, "What We Have Learned" consisting of both 'original' and current Yale SOM faculty members, discussing the changing state of knowledge in a variety of management areas from an inter-disciplinary perspective. The Reunion festivities will also include a Cocktail Reception and Gala Dinner along with many other activities specifically designed to mark this milestone celebration for the Class of '79.
