Admissions News
Admissions thanks the hundreds of alumni who have graciously, and at times tirelessly, helped recruit and select applicants and encourage admitted applicants to choose Yale SOM as the place to get their MBAs.
Admissions Interviews
Ninety three alumni have conducted 176 admissions interviews. Internationally, interviews were conducted in cities as close as Toronto and as far flung as Wellington, New Zealand, Karachi, Pakistan and Bangkok, Thailand. In the US, interviews were conducted by alumni in 23 cities, from Anchorage, Alaska, to Omaha, Nebraska to Tampa, Florida. Our prize for most interviews goes to Gaurav Karan - he conducted 7 interviews in India this year! In addition, several alumni conducted five interviews each.
Events
Over two dozen international alumni represented Yale SOM at MBA fairs and SOM receptions in 12 international cities. In the US, over 50 alumni helped out at MBA fairs, panels, and SOM receptions in ten domestic cities.
Contacting Admitted Applicants
Once an applicant has been admitted, the focus switches to getting these folks to enroll. An amazing 549 recent alumni volunteered to contact admitted applicants to share their experiences, answer questions, and encourage them to choose SOM as the place to get their MBAs.
Thanks to all who have assisted admissions in these crucial efforts to enroll the best possible Class of 2006. We look forward to another great year while expanding the involvement of our alumni.
