Trisha Meili '86 Speaks at Yale SOM
On September 30th, Trisha Meili '86 returned to SOM as the first SIG speaker sponsored by the SOM Alumni Association. Women in Management and Double Bottom Line invited Trisha to share her experiences - her recovery from the attack in Central Park a decade ago, and as an active member of a number of nonprofit organizations. Trisha shared her inspirational message with close to 100 students, alumni, faculty and staff. She read passages from her book and talked to the audience about the importance of support - of how it played a vital role in her recovery and how it can influence and inspire others during critical times in their lives.
Trisha's book is entitled I am the Central Park Jogger, A Story of Hope and Possibility . She is making a donation to The Achilles Track Club, Gaylord Hospital and The Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program from the proceeds of the book.
