SOM NYC Alumni Group Hosts Career Management Event!

The SOM NYC alumni group, along with The Strickland Group (Nancy Halpern '87), hosted a career management event for New York City area alumni on Thursday May 22, 2003. Entitled "Career Planning in Turbulent Times" and generously sponsored by SOMAA, the event drew 35 alumni spanning classes from 1979 to 2000. Strickland Group consultants provided insights to attending SOM alumni on a range of topics, isuch as assessment of personal and professional career choices and navigating the uncertainties of the current job market. The Strickland Group also offered all alumni attending the opportunity for a follow-up, one-on-one counseling session. Chris Hanrahan '00, who organized the event, reports that alumni feedback has been extremely positive, and that the SOMAA NYC chapter looks forward to organizing future events addressing topical career issues of importance to SOM alumni.
