Third Annual Private Equity Conference

The Private Equity Student Interest Group at the Yale School of Management hosted the third annual Private Equity Conference. This year's conference, Surviving the Downturn; Preparing for an Upturn, attempted to look ahead in what appears to be a very challenging economic and political environment. The keynote speakers were Stephen A. Schwarzman (Yale BA '69), President, CEO and co-founder of The Blackstone Group; Jim Kelley (SOM '83), President, Vestar Capital Partners; and John Howard (SOM '80), Senior Managing Director, Bear Stearns.
