Yale SOM Alumnus, Richard Perlmutter '80, receives Grammy Nomination for Best Musical Album for Children
Beethoven's Wig - Sing Along Symphonies by Richard Perlmutter has received many accolades, being described as "a perfect cross between entertainment and education, powered by lyric writing of exceptional craft and imagination." The highest praise came when the prestigious National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences nominated Beethoven's Wig - Sing Along Symphonies for its 45th Annual Grammy Awards as Best Musical Album for Children.
What is even more remarkable, is that Richard Perlmutter's day job is advertising. Richard is Creative Director of the Woo Agency and former president of PPG Advertising. Richard has won every major advertising award: CLIO, International Broadcasting Award, Mobius, New York Festival Gold Medal. He has been recognized by the United Nations for his Public Service advertising, and his commercials have earned a place in the Museum of Broadcasting. He holds a Bachelor's in Art History form Cornell University, a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design, a Master's of Architecture from Yale University, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. He has also taught at Yale University.
