Associate Professor of Accounting

Professor Mittendorf's research interests involve how incentives influence and are influenced by accounting practices. His research has studied features of accounting systems that make them amenable to audit and useful in disciplining other corporate disclosures. His current research concerns motivational considerations in commonly confronted accounting and operational choices.
