Associate Professor of Economics

Professor Mansur's research focuses on energy and regulation economics. In particular, he studies questions concerning: strategic firm behavior in regulated markets; strategic firm behavior and the environment; consumer behavior in regulated markets; and various other topics in environmental and energy economics. Professor Mansur's current research examines how different market organizations affect firms’ ability to trade in wholesale electricity markets and how these firms incorporate cost shocks, including changes in the prices of pollution permits, into their production decisions.
