Herbert Folpe was the partner in-charge of the public services line of business in the Department of Professional Practice - National Support Services at KPMG Peat Marwick. He has written extensively on the nonprofit sector, and has served on many committees and task forces including the AICPA Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee, New York State Society of CPAs, Not-for-Profit Organizations Accounting Committee, and the GASB Task Force on Governmental Colleges and Universities.
