Bruce Alexander, a Yale College alumnus and vice president for New Haven and State Affairs and Campus Development, is a former senior vice president of the Rouse Company. As director of the Commercial Development Division he was responsible for the development of all of Rouse's commercial and mixed-use projects throughout the United States including Baltimore's Harborplace, South Street Seaport, Miami's Bayside, St. Louis Union Station, New Orleans Riverwalk, Seattle's Westlake Center, and Portland's Pioneer Place. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Conference of Shopping Centers, as well as a director of Science Park, the New Haven Development Commission, Market New Haven, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, and Connecticut Public Broadcasting.
