Yale School of Management

Last year, approximately 1,000 SOM alumni — almost one fifth of the entire alumni population — chose to volunteer their time, talents, and expertise on behalf of Yale SOM. They did so in many ways, from facilitating case writing to participating on panels at student conferences to attending regional events hosted by local chapters.

Alumni have taken time to talk with students one-on-one about career paths while also often doing recruiting at their individual firms. SOM alumni participation in recruitment events has led directly to placement for SOM students in summer associate and full-time positions.

Visit our Volunteer Honor Roll page to view a list of alumni who volunteered their physical and financial assistance in 2006-2007. Or, read the Volunteer Profiles of several alumni who dedicate professional time to the recruitment of SOM graduates.

"Part of what keeps me heavily involved with recruiting is thinking about how alumni helped me and, in some sense, trying to continue that tradition."
