CareerLeader®, is the most respected and comprehensive business career development tool on the internet. This program is a fully integrated approach to business career self-assessment developed by Dr. Timothy Butler Director of MBA Career Development Programs at the Harvard Business School, and Dr. James Waldroop, Dr. Butler's associate at HBS for 18 years.

This interactive, online program is currently being used by over 170 top business and MBA programs in the U.S. and around the world to help guide their students. Career Leader has been providing services to Yale SOM students since 1999.

Many of our recent SOM graduates have taken this assessment but it is also available to all SOM alumni for a $75 fee. It can be helpful for individuals who are considering a career or industry change but still want to stay in a business career. Chris Young, associate director of Alumni Career Services, is certified to discuss and help you to interpret the results of your assessment.

The Pathfinder Career Testing Program®
Founded by Nicholas Lore, author of The Pathfinder, the Rockport Institute believes that everyone is born with a unique group of talents that are as individual as a fingerprint. Talents are completely different from acquired knowledge, skills and interests. Your interests can change. You can gain new skills and knowledge. But your natural, inherited talents remain with you for your entire life. You can’t change them but you can learn to play the hand you have been dealt brilliantly and to your best advantage.

The Pathfinder Career Testing Program is a unique method of learning which careers would best fit by directly measuring these abilities and traits. This testing program is completely different than the career tests you may have taken previously. Fees for this service vary.
