Get Involved with Career Development

One of the most rewarding — and visible — means of staying connected with the school is the Career Development Office’s program of career education and recruiting services. Alumni can meet current students through several venues.

As part of the Career Development Process, the CDO invites alumni to come back to participate in its Career Speaker Series for non-traditional MBA jobs. Alumni have also participated in CDO-sponsored mock interview and on-campus informational interview programs, which are scheduled throughout the school year to accommodate the schedules of visiting alumni. The Mock Interview Programs are held in October, November, December, and January for one week in each month.

Mentor a Student through the SOMAA Mentor Program

Alumni mentors work with second-year students, providing a friendly, supportive source of advice as students go through the job search process. Students use an online program to select mentors in fields that interest them. In recent years participation in the program has been very high, and both students and alumni report having positive experiences. See the SOMAA Mentor Program webpage for more information.
