Randy Siegel '88 President & Publisher Parade Publications

Randy Siegel is president of Parade Publications and Publisher of PARADE, the most widely read magazine in the United States. Siegel is responsible for the company's day-to-day operations as well as its overall strategy. He also oversees PARADE’s HealthyStyle magazine, along with PARADE Selects, PARADE Digital and PARADE TV. Siegel was named publisher of PARADE in 2003, after serving as executive vice president, where he oversaw marketing, digital media and PARADE's strategic partnerships with its 500 newspaper partners.

Siegel is also a founder of the Newspaper Project, a newspaper industry consortium with more than 400 member newspapers that serves as a think tank and forum for innovation.

Before joining PARADE, Siegel was a marketing executive at Newsweek and the Washington Post. He was also publisher and editor of the award-winning Cleveland Free Times. As a writer, Siegel’s articles and essays have appeared in several newspapers and magazines, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY, the Chicago Tribune, Newsweek, Advertising Age, Presstime and Mediaweek. He is currently a contributing columnist to the editorial page of the Providence Journal. His first children’s book will be published next year by Roaring Brook Press, a division of Macmillan.

Siegel serves on the board of trustees of Research!America and CURE Epilepsy. He is also a member of the Committee To Protect Journalists advisory board, the National Conference of Editorial Writers and the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators.

Mr. Siegel earned a BA with honors from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
