"Yale SOM's introductory finance course changed my life. Thirty years later, I remain immersed in the building and financing of companies. Most of my day is spent working with entrepreneurs, helping to make their vision a reality. In those early years, when I attended Yale, the SOM program was also an "entrepreneurial" effort so clearly the freedom, creativity, and energy that come with building a new company or institution is important to me."

Nancy is a managing director at Allen & Company LLC, an investment banking firm in New York City founded in 1922. Over a three decade career on Wall Street, she has served as an advisor to many of the world’s largest media and consumer companies and has provided advice and capital to over one hundred start up or small high growth businesses.

Nancy received an undergraduate degree with honors from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School in 1976 and earned an MBA from Yale School of Management in 1979.

In her 19th year as a trustee of Princeton University, she currently co-chairs the Aspire Capital Campaign. Nancy serves on the board of the Institute for Advanced Study, Teach for America, as well as priceline.com, of which she was a founding shareholder.
