Mr. Huang is the founder and chairman of Lotus Capital Management ("Lotus"), an investment company specializing in private equity investments in Asia.
Prior to founding Lotus, Mr. Huang was an investment banker at major investment banks in New York and Tokyo. Previously, Mr. Huang was a research assistant at The Hudson Institute, a strategic think-tank in Washington D.C.
Lotus invests in a variety of industries in Greater China, including pharmaceutical, media, financial services, software, engineering, building materials, IT, retail, manufacturing and real estate. Mr. Huang is a director of a number of Lotus’ portfolio companies. He is involved in several public sector activities, including the Yale School of Management Board of Advisors as Chairman of its China Advisory Board. He is also a member of the President’s Council on International Activities at Yale.
Mr. Huang received his MBA from the Yale School of Management in 1990. He also holds a MA degree in Economics from Georgetown University and a BS degree in Physics from Hangzhou Zhejiang University in China.
