| Steven H. Gunby '82 |
Over the last six years Steve led BCG in North and South America, a period during which BCG grew significantly every year, even through the global recession; over the period the group quintupled the number of core client relationships, doubled professional staff and substantially more than doubled revenue. During this period he also served on the global executive committee and operating committee.
Prior to those six years he played a number of roles, including opening and leading the Washington D.C. office, leading the retail practice in the United States, and the consumer practice on the east coast, among others.
Regardless of what internal roles he has played, his passion has been collaborating with clients to help them fundamentally change the trajectory of their companies. Steve has led some of BCG's most significant change efforts with clients, both in the United States and around the world. His work has involved fundamental changes in strategy, operations and cost positions, M&A, and reorganization in major consumer and retail companies.
Later this year Steve will be taking on leadership of BCG's transformation/accelerated change team, globally.
In addition to his degree from Yale SOM, Steve has a JD from the Yale Law School ('82), where he was on the Law Review, and a AB with Honors from Cornell. Steve is married to Margaret Pearson, a Chinese Politics professor. They have two sons.
