The television environment has grown increasingly competitive and the strategy-based promotion of our shows has become an extremely important aspect of what I do day to day."

As senior vice president, current series, NBC Entertainment, Bruce Evans has become quite adept at managing quality dramas on network television. Over the course of his 15 years at NBC, he has honed his creative talents on TV’s longest-running drama, "Law and Order," and its successful spinoffs, "Law and Order: SVU" and "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," and further refined his skills on the recent hit series "Heroes" and the long-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives." He has also been involved with other successful NBC shows, such as "Medium," "Crossing Jordan," and "Just Shoot Me." This fall, he will be overseeing the production of the highly anticipated new dramas, "The Event" and "The Cape."

Before joining NBC, Evans worked as an assistant buyer for the May Department Stores' Washington, D.C. subsidiary, Hecht’s. He also worked in the public sector, serving as the special assistant to the executive director of the National Association of County Health Officials in Washington, D.C. There, he gained great insight into health care provision at the local level. Though a truly rewarding experience, Evans decided upon graduation from SOM to to turn his sights towards an entirely different career, television production. He landed at NBC in early 1995 and has thoroughly enjoyed his tenure at the Peacock network.

Evans was a "townie" at SOM as he hails from New Haven. He received a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Brown University and of course, his MBA from Yale SOM. He currently resides in Sherman Oaks, California.
