Edward J. De La Rosa established De La Rosa & Co. in 1989 to provide capital for public and private infrastructure projects across California. In slightly more than two decades, the firm has grown to become a leading underwriter and market maker for California municipal bonds and taxable fixed-income securities.

Mr. De La Rosa is a frequent speaker on California’s economy, the relationship between California’s public and private sectors and on the $3.7 trillion U.S. municipal bond market.

Mr. De La Rosa believes in high-quality service and a high level of ethics. He is a Board Member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB). Mr. De La Rosa previously served two terms on the Professional Qualifications Advisory Committee of the MSRB, where he set professional standards for investment bankers and bond brokers financing public and private projects. He has also served two terms as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the California Public Securities Association.

Mr. De La Rosa leads his firm’s corporate citizenship program. The program supports scholarships, health-care services and other programs in communities across California. The firm’s signature program is “Fabric of Society,” an annual essay contest by which the firm awards scholarships to California public high school seniors.

Mr. De La Rosa holds a master’s degree from the Yale School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego.He is a past recipient of the Dean’s Alumni Achievement Award from the Yale School of Management. Mr. De La Rosa currently serves as a member of the Dean’s Board of Advisors for Yale University’s School of Management.
