A university-wide body made up of representatives from each professional school and from each department of the graduate school. The Senate concerns itself with matters effecting the lives of all graduate and professional students, such as housing, security, libraries, and the University's presidential search committee, programming and operating the Graduate-Professional Student Center at Yale (GPSCY), including the bar located in the basement and nominating students to the various University committees, such as the executive committee. Elections for SOM representatives are held each fall.
