Mary-Ann Etiebet, MD
Mary-Ann Etiebet is from Lagos, Nigeria and a graduate of Yale College with a BA in Political Science. She completed the MD/MBA joint degree program at the Yale School of Medicine and the Yale School of Management in 2003. Her research work has included a public health study assessing the acceptability of interventions to reduce mother-to-child transmission of HIV in Khayelitsha, South Africa, and a policies and practices survey on health care coverage options for local employees of international NGOs.
Mary-Ann completed her internal medicine residency training at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and is currently completing subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases at New York-Presbyterian Columbia Medical Center. Her current research involves assessing outcomes of HIV-positive patients who are taking anti-retroviral therapy in Nigeira. She plans to continue to work in the international HIV/AIDS arena. She has a two-year old daughter, Tosan, who hopefully will be grateful for the early start on frequent flier miles.
