William Chou, MD, MBA

Will Chou is a project leader in the New Jersey office of The Boston Consulting Group. At BCG, Will has worked extensively with large global healthcare corporations on strategic planning and operations improvements in both development and marketing.

His projects include:

• Development of business plan for pharma cardiovascular TA to engage multiple systemic stakeholders in earlier attention to CV disease prevention.
• Reorganizing the marketing and medical organization of a global pharmaceutical company.
• Creation of blueprint to maximize probability of biomarker acceptance as regulatory surrogate endpoint for pharma cardiovascular TA.
• Development of a short term acquisition plan and long term market strategy for a global disease management company.
• Identification of 15% cost savings and opportunities for improved co-promotion effectiveness for a >$3B specialty pharmaceutical brand.
• Evaluation of EU launch strategy for an oncology pharmaceutical product.
• Writing “Winning in Oncology” strategy presentation outlining changing economics and key competencies necessary for success in oncology.

Prior to joining BCG, Will was a practicing physician at the Yale University School of Medicine. During his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Yale, he was responsible for the care of patients in acute, long term and primary care settings. His research has been published in the academic medical literature.

Will earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management, an MD with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and a BA with honors in political economy from Princeton University.
